It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We also use similar browser storage technologies, such as local storage, which work in a comparable way but keep information in your browser until it is cleared rather than sending it with every request.
In this Policy, "cookies" refers to cookies and comparable browser storage technologies together.
3. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit Echofy, a banner explains that we use cookies and similar technologies and asks you to choose. You can:
- Accept all, which allows every category below; or
- Only necessary, which keeps strictly necessary technologies active and leaves everything else off.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the preference centre on this page. Withdrawing consent stops any non-essential technology from being used going forward; it does not affect processing that already took place lawfully.
4. Categories of technologies we use
4.1 Strictly necessary
These are required for the website and platform to function and cannot be switched off through our banner. They are used to:
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in to your account.
- Secure requests and protect against fraudulent or abusive use.
- Remember the cookie choice you made in the banner.
- Support guest scans before you create an account, so that work you start anonymously can be carried over if you later register.
Strictly necessary technologies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functional and secure service, and — where they are strictly required to provide a service you requested — to perform our agreement with you.
4.2 Analytics and measurement
Analytics technologies help us understand how the website and product are used, for example which pages are visited and how features perform, so that we can improve them.
We do not currently operate any third-party analytics or advertising cookies on Echofy. This category exists so that your choice is recorded and respected, and so that any measurement technology we introduce in the future is only activated after you have allowed it.
We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell personal information.

We do not set any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Third-party services
Our website and platform run on infrastructure provided by third parties that may set or read strictly necessary technologies when you use the service:

Payment pages are operated by our payment provider, and their own cookie and privacy notices apply there.
7. Your browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings. You can also browse in a private or incognito window, which clears this storage when the window closes.
If you block strictly necessary technologies, parts of Echofy may not work — you may be unable to sign in, keep a session, or complete a guest scan.
We do not currently respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals, because no non-essential tracking technologies are active.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if our use of cookies or similar technologies changes, or if the law requires it. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date, and where required we will ask for your consent again.
